Dr. Williametta Simmons is a licensed psychologist, author, speaker, and humanitarian whose life and work stand at the intersection of clinical excellence, spiritual compassion, and cultural humility.

Born in Liberia and raised in the United States, Dr. Simmons carries the resilience of a people who have endured — and the calling to bring healing to others who are still finding their way through. Her passion for mental wellness is rooted in both personal experience and the collective wounds she has witnessed across two continents.

She holds a Doctorate in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration, and is the Founder and Director of Integrative Psychological & Consulting Services, LLC — a practice committed to whole-person care at the intersection of faith, culture, and mental health. She serves on the Liberia Medical Mission team, bringing mental health resources and humanitarian care to West Africa.

A lifelong ministry leader, Dr. Simmons has served in worship, teaching, and community leadership throughout her adult life. She writes and speaks from a place of genuine integration — her clinical training informing her pastoral instincts, her faith grounding her clinical work, and her personal story of grief, loss, and hard-won healing giving her the authority to speak honestly into places where others have been afraid to go.

Healing Without Shame is her debut book. It was not born in an office. It was born on a bedroom floor — in a season of grief, betrayal, and desperate honesty before God — and it belongs to everyone who has ever been there.
